Chowdah & Apple Pie
What’s your favorite chowdah?
Come at noon on Saturday, September 19, 2015 and taste delicious chowder from over a dozen area restaurants. Then cast a vote for your favorite! Winners announced at 2pm.
Bethel area restaurants are welcome to vie for the title of best chowder, and professional and amateur bakers alike can enter the apple pie contest! Fill out the forms below if you’d like to enter the competition.
If you just want to eat the pie, that’s ok too! Slices will be on sale. Whether you are eating or cooking, you won’t want to miss this portion of Harvestfest!

Does your restaurant make the best chowder in town? Prove it at the annual Bethel Harvestfest. Judges’ Choice and People’s Choice prizes will be awarded for you to show off!
What YOU need to bring: At least 10 gallons (more if you can!) of your BEST CHOWDER (and some way to keep it warm), yourself/your team to serve it and promote your business, table decorations (optional), and promotional materials or menus to pass out if you’d like. You’ll have a 4 foot space. Set up your table by 11:30 a.m.
We will supply: All paper goods and spoons for sampling, the chowdah tent, and tables.

Apple Pie Contest – Sponsored by the Good Food Store
Enter your tastiest, most beautiful pie into the apple pie contest in one of three categories: Professional, Amateur, and Non-traditional (something outside the usual double-crust pie made with apple, sugar, and spices). Winners receive a $50 gift certificate to the Good Food Store! Bring your pie to the Bethel Area Chamber of Commerce’s tent on the Bethel Common by 11:00 a.m. on the day of the event. Pie will be sold by the slice. We would appreciate if you brought an extra pie to be sold!
